Happy Thanksgiving!! We hope you’ve had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday, and are enjoying your Friday and upcoming weekend!

Since this is Thanksgiving week, we wanted to talk about gratitude, rest and renewal, and finding refuge against the “cult of money.” It is, after all, Black Friday today. We’ll discuss, in more detail, what we mean by the “cult of money” in the episode.

While this isn’t necessarily a new topic, it’s still surprising how easy it is to get swept away with a world that rewards ambition and materialism over being sane. We find ourselves pursuing things that aren’t essential, stressing ourselves out to chase after something that really isn’t that important in the long run, and forgetting to take that down time to rest, play, and renew.
