Marta shares an extremely intense story about a murder trial that ties in to her appreciations for this week as well as our topic on Cognitive Biases.

Cognitive bias can be defined as a set of predictable mental errors that arise from our limited ability to process information objectively. It can result in illogical and irrational decisions, and it can cause you to misjudge risks and threats. There are multiple cognitive biases and we talk about five common ones:

  1. Confirmation Bias
  2. Anchoring Bias
  3. Bandwagon Bias
  4. Exposure Effect
  5. Hindsight Bias

We share what these biases are, how they negatively affect us and those around us, and, most importantly, the antidotes to these biases so we can overcome them!
