In this week’s podcast we are talking about focusing versus noticing. How many times have we said, “if I could just be more focused?!” But maybe that isn’t what we should really be talking about. Maybe we should be talking about the value of noticing and what that can do for us. We talk about what happens when we broaden our perspective and how that can benefit us in overcoming our naturally occurring bias’. Seeing how we exclude the eleven million bits of information per second and we can “only” process about 50 bits per second, it makes useful sense that we need to exclude some things to maintain our sanity! Oh, and for more on our natural bias’, listen to Episode 15. And, to test your own “noticing” ability, check out this cool video by Daniel J. Simons on my Youtube channel.
